Schema Matters: Why “Data Moved” Doesn’t Mean “App Works”
Many migrations complete successfully and still leave applications unstable because schema behavior changed. Schema and data migration to Azure SQL should include indexes, constraints, and procedural logic that affect execution plans. A Google Cloud SQL to Azure SQL migration also needs an Azure SQL migration assessment to highlight feature differences that may impact query patterns. Database migration validation and testing must then confirm that business logic outputs and response times remain within acceptable thresholds. When schema is treated as a performance asset rather than a checklist item, Azure SQL becomes operationally reliable faster.
