Delta Airlines Atlanta Office branch really rose to the occasion for me and my family when what could've been a nightmare trip turned out to be anything but. We were flying in for a family reunion and were stranded because of cancellations due to weather conditions. We attempted to call customer service initially, but wait times were extensive—predictable in the midst of a severe weather condition. So we called the Atlanta office in person, and am I ever glad we did. The minute we stepped in, the staff were kind and understanding. They recognized our distress and acted fast to resolve our issues. Not only did they reschedule all five of us on the next flight out, but they also assisted in booking accommodations at the hotel and issuing meal vouchers for the trouble. One representative even went so far as to detail travel insurance policies and how to claim compensation in the future. It didn't feel like they were just doing their job—it felt like they really cared. It was also obvious that the office was staffed to handle high-stress, high-volume situations. They had sufficient staff on hand to deal with an unexpected influx of travelers, and the process was respectful and efficient. I witnessed them assisting elderly travelers, families with children, and even foreign tourists with language issues. Bravo to the whole Delta Airlines Atlanta Office staff. Their professionalism and kindness made a stressful experience a bearable one. No wonder Delta is considered one of the world's most respected airlines. The Atlanta office is a huge reason why, and they've gained my loyalty forever.
