Unlike open screenplay contests that accept thousands of entries, Cut to Black Prize keeps submissions limited through an invitation-only system. That immediately made it stand out to me. After looking deeper, I learned the contest is run by Call Sheet Media and judged blindly to focus only on writing quality.
